This polar bear fine liner artwork print stands on an icey pattern with intricate pattern detail on its head and back. I’ve not been lucky enough to see one in life but it’s on my bucket list.
I am a visual artist based in Midlothian, Scotland. In particular, I create paintings of woodland landscapes and gnarled trees that I come across on my walks through nature. These woodlands are mainly in Scotland with some abroad in Europe and Canada. I make my work using water mixable oil paint on canvas to avoid extra fumes whilst I’m working at my studio in Edinburgh.
Colour plays a very important role in these works. Warm and unusual hues of pinks, oranges and reds set off the lush green tones of the foliage around. I enjoy making drawings of animals using fine liner pens with some additions of paint. Particularly, I enjoy creating drawings of the native and plentiful wildlife in Scotland. Always, I am working to expand the selection of these animals.
